Lake Yale Adult VBS Retreat
FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions

Event Dates: May 9-10, 2025
Event Times: 8:00am Friday departure, 3:00/3:30pm Saturday return
Event Location: Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center/Leesburg
Transportation: Load vans at 7:45am for 8:00am departure. Look for vans near church offices, on Crystal Lake Rd. side of church.
Food: We will not be stopping for food/lunch on the way. Please pack your lunch, and we will eat together at camp. The remainder of the meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch) are provided by Lake Yale.
Attire: Casual, comfortable camp attire – jeans/shorts, sneakers/sandals. No bathing suits; no swimming.
What to Bring:
- A brown-bag lunch
- Toiletries
- Change of clothes
A Camp T-shirt will be provided for each camper/volunteer registered on early bird or regular registration. Late registrants are not guaranteed a shirt.
Motel type accommodations, 2 per room – Linens (sheets, towels) are provided
What else? Friday night Talent Show is open to all! Please keep it to 4 minutes or less. If you are singing along to a CD, bring your CD. If you are using a YouTube link, please provide that to Tammy asap. You can email the link to her at tsills@idlewild.org. If you need other support, discuss it with Tammy ASAP. Talent show entries, including any CD or link, are due April 25, two weeks prior to camp. We may have to cut off the talent show lineup due to requests, so send yours in early to reserve a spot. The earlier, the better! Email your talent show info to tsills@idlewild.org.
Gift Shop will be open for a brief time during our visit.
