Financial Stewardship

Benevolence

An easy way to serve our Lord and Savior is by reaching out to the community through Food Bank donations. On the first Sunday of each month there are boxes beside Welcome Centers 1 and 2 for the collection of canned and boxed goods to feed those in need.  Food is distributed once a month based upon need to a list of registered families. Some people are homeless and others are just going through a short period of difficulty…..either way they need our help.  With so many of our brothers and sisters in Christ struggling to make ends meet during these times, please also consider a financial donation to the Benevolence Fund to help so many in need.

For distribution or to make a donation of non-perishable items or if you are in need of food please contact the Stewardship ministry at 813-264-8781. Questions? Email jpittano@idlewild.org

Your donations are needed & appreciated!!!

Idlewild wants to help you create an estate plan for you and your family. For some time now we’ve partnered with a group called Financial Planning Ministry (FPM) to help our members create a Will or Living Trust at no out‐of‐pocket cost. This well-established ministry partner program has been presented in hundreds of churches nationwide over the past 40 years.

Throughout the year, FPM will be hosting both online webinars and in-person meetings at the church. To learn more or to register for any of these events, see the post updates below.

  • The answer to the simple question about a relationship between wealth and generosity isn’t as simple as you might think. You have to define both wealth and generosity correctly to answer that question well. Wealth is defined in Dictionary.com as a great quantity or store of money, valuable possessions, property,......

  • It is often said that we are just stewards, not owners, of what we have. Is that really true? If it is true, what does that mean for me? I had heard that I am only a steward and not an owner many times, but I had never checked it......
