Fishing, Faith, & Fun
Fishing, Faith, & Fun is a Bible-based fishing program offered through Idlewild Baptist Church Sports Ministry each spring from March–April. Designed for young anglers, the program teaches essential fishing skills such as casting, reeling, equipment selection, and more. Participants also learn about conservation, the environment, and fishing regulations.
Led by certified instructors, Fishing, Faith, & Fun provides a unique opportunity for kids to learn, grow in their faith, and enjoy fishing right here on Idlewild property. It’s a fun, faith-filled experience that every young angler won’t want to miss!
Children ages 5 to 17

Each participant will then go to their assigned classes for further fishing education and a devotion. Each week there will be around 2 hours of fishing at the ponds on the IBC property.

You are more than welcome to bring your own fishing equipment, although it is not required, except for our boater participants. All participants must have a parent/guardian present with them regardless of the fishing class they are in.
