Get ready for Awana, where faith meets FUN!

At Idlewild, we’re all about helping kids know, love, and serve God in an exciting, high-energy environment. It’s more than just memorizing verses; Awana is designed to teach kids of all ages that God is real, loves them, and wants a relationship with them. We’re dedicated to helping children develop a deep love for Christ and His Word!

When Do We Meet?

Awana meets on Sundays from 4:30–6:00 PM, running throughout both our Fall and Spring Semesters.

What to Expect

Our 90-minute meetings are packed with:

• Game Time: Awesome, team-based games that are unique to Awana. Get ready for some friendly competition!
• Large Group Time: Think interactive games, contests, and engaging lessons from God’s Word.
• Handbook Time: Small groups where kids dive into Scripture, memorize verses, and learn how to make God’s Word part of their daily lives.

Is there a cost, and what does it include?

The annual enrollment fee for Awana is $50 per child ($45 if you join in the Spring), and it covers both semesters.

This fee includes all handbooks and uniforms, which you can pick up at our Awana Sunday packet pickup table or at any club night.

We also offer a discount for families enrolling with three or more children. Please get in touch with us at awana@idlewild.org for more details on pricing.

What are theme nights?

Theme nights are when we all dress up for our favorite themes. We do anywhere from 4 to 6 theme nights a year, and it could be any theme you could imagine! A list of theme nights will be included in our calendar and weekly newsletters ahead of time throughout the year.
